Leslie and John danced their way into each other’s hearts at a ballroom dancing class in college, and have been partners ever since! During their first look we got to see the handsome groom twirl his beautiful bride across the Veranda room at the Sequoia Mansion, gliding in and out of the rays of the late afternoon sunlight.
The bride chose a sophisticated strapless white gown with gorgeous green trim at the bodice and back, showcasing what have to be some of the most amazing auburn tresses we have ever seen. Because green is Leslie’s favorite color, the entire wedding party was dressed in the hue, and even the wedding ring had a sparkling emerald in the center. Luckily, Mother Nature also got the memo brought forth every shade of green in the grasses, trees, and bushes in the ceremony garden.
It was so much fun to witness the love and affection Leslie and John’s families have for them, and for each other! John’s best man showed the love by purchasing a signet ring especially for the occasion, which he planned to inscribe with something special to commemorate the day. At the reception, both fathers gave memorable toasts to their children. John’s dad spoke eloquently about the four “R’s” and the four “W’s” that are important to consider in every marriage. Leslie’s dad gave a humorous toast (or light-hearted roast?) of Leslie, recounting her childhood whims and informing her bridal party friends and new husband that she was a choosy one and had picked them all carefully – verrrrry carefully. Everyone got a good laugh out of that, especially the bride! To continue with the fun and silliness that are hallmarks of Leslie and John’s easygoing style, there was a bride and groom Lego cake topper, triple bouquet toss, and a serious dance floor chorus line to Sinatra’s “New York, New York.”
Congratulations Leslie and John on your wedding day. May you love each other forever, smile always, and dance deeper into each other’s hearts every day.
