When we saw the corn hole and ladder ball games out on the lawn, we knew this was going to be a FUN wedding! And Laura and Damien certainly didn’t disappoint. Before they started dating, Damien would help Laura set-up for the monthly game nights that she hosted. And then Damien started helping her clean-up after…and then he started arriving earlier, staying later, and just like that a lifelong love blossomed. They have been matched up ever since! Watching these two exchange their vows at Wedgewood Sequoia Mansion, it was clear how much love, respect, and affection they have for each other. Laura and Damien are living proof that in the game of true love, two hearts will always win.
We love it when couples incorporate unique and personal touches into their wedding day. Laura and Damien included many fun details, such as a Bingo game for finding your seat at the reception and wedding mad libs for the guests to fill out. The happy couple made their grand entrance to the theme song from The Phantom of the Opera, which was the play that Damien took Laura to on her birthday…and then surprised her there with a marriage proposal. An elegant evening at the Phantom and a gorgeous engagement ring, it really doesn’t get more romantic than that!
Another fun touch was the ’68 convertible Mustang that Laura and Damien rode off in. Laura’s dad used to let her drive it to school when she was a teenager, so it was only fitting that she drive off in it on her wedding day. With her beautiful gown draped over the back and Damien’s arms wrapped around her, it was the perfect send-off to a perfect wedding day.
Thank you Laura and Damien for the honor of documenting your amazing day! If you’re ever hosting a game night in Placerville, we are ALL IN.
