Photographing Jennifer and Abner’s engagement session in Apple Hill was an absolute delight! I love getting to know my wedding couples in advance of their big day, and an engagement session is a great way to meet, greet, and make friends with them. Jennifer and Abner very quickly settled into the session, joking with each other and me and were just all-around having a fun afternoon together. Their sweet, new, rescue dog, (and baby), Beatrice joined them too. I really couldn’t have asked for more!
To top it off, these two are mountain adventurers who love experiencing nature, and their “how we met” story absolutely stole my heart. Abner had taken Jennifer for a hike up Mt. Tallac, in Lake Tahoe, as their first (of many!) big hikes together. When the time to propose came around, he invited her for a second hiking trip up the famous peak and asked her to marry him at the very top. I can’t imagine a more beautiful way of asking the love of your life to share life with you forever more.
Jennifer and Abner’s wedding at the Sequoia Mansion is this June, and will be here before we know it! I am thoroughly looking forward to photographing their Victorian-themed wedding at one of my favorite (and familiar) Placerville venues.
Thank you so much Jennifer and Abner for spending the afternoon with me at Larsen’s Apple Farm, one of your favorite Apple Hill locations! I am so thrilled with your engagement photos. Best wishes on the wedding planning and I’ll be seeing you soon!
