Ann and Shannon have been together for some time but, thanks to recent events, are just now exercising their right to marry. They chose to do so on a beautiful October day at the Wedgewood Sequoia in Placerville.
This wedding was full of many thoughtful details, special sayings placed throughout the event, and a Celtic “Oathing Stone” which was part of the ceremony plus many other Celtic symbols which were quite unique. I also loved the “Mrs & Mrs” banner that hung above their sweetheart table at the reception and made a lovely adornment for their first dance shots.
Shannon was supported by her brothers, who were very attentive to her throughout the day, straightening out her dress and helping with family shots. I really appreciated their calm and helpful attitudes and I’m sure Shannon did too. But by far the most emotional moment of the night went to Ann’s dance with her father, slow and cautious at first, but then capped with an unexpected twirl that brought so many in the room to tears. Truly a lovely moment.
Shannon was quite nervous throughout the wedding but what I loved was how Ann was so attuned to her, calming her nerves and easing her jitters – the actions of two people who have known and loved each other for some time.
