Amanda and Chris said “I do” on a gorgeous Saturday on Memorial Day weekend. Even though the sun was shining, there was a brief afternoon shower right at the end of the ceremony – a shower of candy sprinkles, that is! Bride and groom made their first walk as husband and wife amid a flurry of rainbow-colored jimmies, which made for some really fun photographs! Unfortunately for Amanda, little sprinkles kept falling out of her dress all night – all we had to do was follow the “breadcrumbs” to find the bride!
At the reception, the bride and groom chose a fun way of selecting people to give a toast. Each table was to elect a representative to toast the newlyweds, and toast they did! We learned the whole story about how Chris proposed to Amanda – how they went for a beach picnic with friends, and she thought his request to “go for a walk and talk” was code for “let’s break up”! Fortunately for both of them, Chris pulled a ring out of his pocket and Amanda picked her heart up off of the floor (err, sand) and the rest is happily ever after.
Congratulations Amanda and Chris! Best wishes on a sweet future together – filled with sunshine mostly, and the occasional candy sprinkle.
